The lecture will introduce the concept and a brief history of the intellectual tradition that identified spurious reporting in hadith, explore its main causes, and provide a list of commonly transmitted fabrications (mawḍūʿāt) that circulate even today.
This lecture will be presented in place of Shaykh Amin’s regular Tafsīr session on Sunday.
